SHTBOT

Your
hour.

Pick one shot and stay on it.

An hour on a single shot beats an hour of variety. That's the whole reason a machine beats a partner — a partner gets bored feeding you the same ball two hundred times. ShotBot doesn't.

How to spend it

0-10
Warm up

Slow feeds down the middle, no targets. Get your timing in before you ask anything of yourself.

10-35
Your one shot

Pick from the list below. Choose the shot that cost you points last time you played, not your best one.

35-50
The shot after it

Something connected. Drilled the bandeja? Do the volley you play next.

50-57
Under pressure

Same shot, drop the Freq by 2. Running out of time is what makes it real.

57-60
Finish clean

Drop the Speed. End on ten you're happy with, never on a miss.

ShortcutThe app has padel presets built in. Tap one, then adjust from there — faster than building a drill from scratch.

The drills

In the order people actually ask to improve them. Every setting is taken straight off the machine's own app — nothing here is guessed.

#1 most asked for

Forehand & backhand

The one everybody wants and nobody drills properly

V angle20
H angle25
Freq5
Speed50
  1. Stand mid-court. Split step as the machine fires, every single ball.
  2. Alternate wings — forehand, backhand, forehand. Move your feet, don't reach.
  3. Aim deep and cross-court. Depth beats power in padel every time.
  4. 30 balls. Stop when 20 land past their service line.
#2 most asked for

Volley

At the net — low and deep, not winners

V angle12
H angle25
Freq5
Speed60
  1. Stand a metre off the net, racket up in front, weight forward.
  2. Block it. No backswing — the pace is already there.
  3. Low and deep to their feet. A high volley invites a lob.
  4. 20 balls. When it feels easy, drop the Freq to 3 and go again.
#3 most asked for

Bandeja

Machine feeding lobs — try the Bandeja preset

V angle20
H angle42
Freq7
Speed80
  1. Take it above shoulder height and in front of you, never above your head.
  2. Flat and controlled, not a smash. You're buying time, not ending the point.
  3. Land it past their service line, then recover to the middle.
  4. 20 balls. Stop when 15 land deep.
#4 most asked for

Lob

The most underrated shot in padel

Settings for this one are still being dialled in on court. Ask us on the day and we'll set it up for you.
  1. Under the ball, long follow-through, high over their heads.
  2. Deep enough that they can't smash it — depth matters more than height.
  3. If it's short you'll get punished, so aim for the back glass.
#5 most asked for

Back-glass return

Medium pace — a timing drill, not a fitness one

V angle20
H angle25
Freq5
Speed70
  1. Let it pass you. Taking it early is what ruins this shot.
  2. Turn side-on and move with the ball as it comes off the glass.
  3. Take it late, around hip height, and lift it deep and cross-court.
  4. 20 balls. Stop when you stop rushing, not when the hopper empties.
#6 most asked for

Bajada

Machine at the back of the court

H angle20
Freq5
Speed60
  1. Let the lob bounce and come off the back glass.
  2. Wait for it to drop, then hit down through it as it falls.
  3. Cross-court and low — this is the shot that takes the net back.
  4. 15 balls. Stop when you stop catching it on the way up.

#7 most asked for

Serve return

There's a ServeReturn preset in the app

Settings for this one are still being dialled in on court. Ask us on the day and we'll set it up for you.
  1. Take it early and low, before it gets to the glass.
  2. Cross-court and deep, then move in. The return is how you take the net.
  3. Don't try to win the point off it.
#8 most asked for

Víbora

Attack, not a harder bandeja

Settings for this one are still being dialled in on court. Ask us on the day and we'll set it up for you.
  1. Cut across the outside of the ball — you want it skidding, not looping.
  2. Target their side wall, low. If it sits up, you lifted your head.
  3. Different shot to the bandeja: that one buys time, this one takes it away.
#9 most asked for

Smash

High feed, full swing

V angle42
H angle25
Freq5
Speed60
  1. Get under it early and turn side-on before it drops.
  2. Contact in front, arm extended. Not a tennis serve.
  3. Pick a target — the side glass or their feet. Not just hard.
  4. 15 balls. Raise the Speed a step every 5 until you miss, then train just under that.
#10 most asked for

Chiquita

Defending it, at the net

V angle25
H angle25
Freq7
Speed40
  1. Start at the net, both feet set, racket up in front of you.
  2. The feed comes low and fast at your feet — that's the chiquita.
  3. Don't reach down and scoop it. Bend, get under it, block it deep.
  4. 20 balls. Stop when 15 land past their service line.
